Spider Veins

Spider veins (telangiectasia) are small blood vessels that show through the skin. They can look like fine red, blue, or purple lines that branch out like a web on the legs, face or indeed any other part of the body.

Facial Spider Veins

Broken blood vessels on the face are enlarged blood vessels that occur just beneath the surface of the skin. The resulting red, web-shaped appearance gives them their common name; spider veins. Spider veins are commonly found on the face or legs, though they may appear anywhere on the body.

Varicose Veins

Varicose veins are twisted, enlarged veins near the surface of the skin. They are most common in the legs and ankles. Although unsightly, varicose veins usually aren’t serious. In rare cases, they may be a sign of a more serious problem that may need treatment, such as deep vein thrombosis.

You will first have an initial consultation with one of the doctors. Dr George Nicola treats leg vein concerns, and Dr Miriam Nicola will address your facial veins. They will provide you with all the information to make an informed decision, along with the fees for the best treatment plan for your concern.

You can usually see results immediately, however some stubborn veins can take up to 2 months to disappear.

For treatment with laser you will feel a warm sensation but not pain. Some patients describe the laser treatment to be like rubber bands snapping on the skin. Most patients tolerate the injections well, however you can ask the doctor during the initial consultation if some form of pain management is right for you.

Depending on the severity of your condition, Medicare does cover some out of pocket costs. Please contact the clinic for more information regarding Medicare.

Your treatment will take between 30min and 2 hours. You can carry on with your regular activities after any of the vein treatments performed. You may be advised to avoid rigorous exercise and heat around the area following treatment.

It is an injectable cosmetic treatment used to effectively reduce fine lines and wrinkles on the face. The most common one is Botox, but there are also other well-known brand names for the same type of product, such as Dysport® or Xeomin®.
Cosmetic injections are approved for use on
“¢ Crow’s feet around the eyes
“¢ Horizontal lines on the forehead
“¢ Wrinkles between the eyebrows

Any injection can hurt, but the needles used for anti-wrinkle injections are very small, so pain is usually minimal. At Ashton Aesthetics, we offer distractors from the pain such as ice packs or even numbing cream, so you may not feel much pain, if anything at all!

Receiving too much agent in the wrong places, can make your face look “frozen” or expressionless. At Ashton Aesthetics, Dr Miriam Nicola is experienced in making you look just like your normal self–just noticeably more youthful and refreshed!

The amount of injectable you’ll need depends entirely on a few contributing factors. These include:
“¢ The type of wrinkles you’d like to treat
“¢ Your unique aesthetic goals
“¢ The degree of muscle movement in your face
“¢ The number of times you’ve had anti-wrinkle in the past
“¢ Your health history

People easily get these two types of injectables confused all the time, but here’s an easy way to distinguish between the two: anti-wrinkle agents are for limiting muscle movement, fillers are for building volume.
An anti-wrinkle agent reduces the activity of muscles in the face that cause wrinkles. Facial fillers, however, fill the trouble areas with a gel made up of hyaluronic acid, which helps to plump and lift the skin to replace volume loss.
